Whitlock Scholar Candidates
The Whitlock Scholars Program is named after EKU's current President, Dr. Doug Whitlock, and recognizes high achieving EKU Now! students who enroll at EKU immediately upon high school graduation. These students participated in the EKU Now! program and:
- Accumulated 9 EKU credit hours or greater
- Attained an ACT composite score of 24 or higher
- Graduated from high school with a 3.0 high school GPA and a 3.0 EKU GPA.
- Received no D’s or F’s and repeated no courses.
These students meet and attend functions as a group at various times throughout the academic year. Some of these functions include the opening Picnic with the President and Pizza with the President. As well, these students are recruited to travel to the surrounding high schools to speak to the students about EKU Now! and the Whitlock Scholars Program.
